Our Story
Humble Beginnings
The Taco Connection started as a push cart on the 16th St. Mall in the spring of 2017. While we only offered our original 3 flavors (Korean BBQ, Jerk Chicken and Tandoori Chicken) at the time, the response from the general public for tacos with world flavors was overwhelming. With so many bold flavors the world offers, we quickly started testing new and exciting flavors in the form of a taco.
Movin' On Up!
After operating our initial few months on the mall out of a pushcart, the chance to move into a larger and more permanent location on 16th St. Mall arose and we jumped at the opportunity. With the larger kiosk, we were able to prep and cook onsite, allowing us to expand our menu to 8 tacos with unique flavors from around the world. We were happy with the increased business and solid customer base that was built, and wanted to go bigger! (The world is a big place and has a lot of flavors to offer, after all)
Brick & Mortar
Our first brick and mortar location opening July 2024 in the Energy Corridor area of Houston, TX. We now make nearly everything onsite in our state of the art kitchen are constantly testing new flavors to add to the menu, as well as creating new menu items for our customers.
This may be the end of our story so far, but we hope the story is just beginning... We are excited to see what the future has in store.
